The challenge here was to use Adobe Illustrator to describe in one view how the X-ray detection machine works. Selecting the viewing angle is the first consideration so that the monitors and other components are visible. The illustration was based on reference photos and rendered without perspective in parallel projection for cost savings. To show what's beneath the skin, ghosting was used and non-essential parts were left out or simplified. The illustration was used in a product brochure.
